Coursera launched Ollie on June 3, 2026, a mobile application for Coursera Plus subscribers designed to facilitate short-form learning. The app leverages adaptive AI to create personalized lesson sequences based on user interests and engagement. Lessons consist of 90-second videos alongside interactive practice exercises like matching and multiple-choice questions to support active recall.
Users can engage with a conversational AI feature to test knowledge and explore concepts in real time. The platform also generates content tied to emerging news and topics. Key features include Flow Mode for hands-free listening and Explore Mode for discovery, paired with gamification elements like streaks, badges, and leaderboards. Ollie focuses on spaced learning (spacing study sessions over time) rather than cramming and is currently available in English for all Coursera Plus subscribers.
